Requirements

Knowledge of Central Office engineering and installation requirements. Excellent organizational and project management skills.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Must be able to interface with the client.  Ability to handle multiple projects and work independently.  Personal computer literacy, including email, basic spreadsheet, word processing and project management tools.  At least three (3) years direct experience supervising projects.  Travel throughout the United States and working during off-hours may be required.

 

Responsibilities

 

This position is responsible for the implementation and construction of various telecommunication projects. Provide technical support for field personnel, assist with project management, coordinate with customer contact(s) and project management team. Prepare daily field reports, weekly status reports and EF&I packages. Perform site surveys.  Identify all tools and materials required to perform an installation.  Provide on-site leadership, assistance, guidance and technical support to field installers on any level.  Perform in-progress and final audits to verify that the installations are completed according to the customer’s and Meso’s quality standards.  Maintain clean and safe work environment while completing installation task.   

Tasks include, but are not limited to:
  • Floor preparation
  • Installation of equipment racks
  •  Installation of equipment shelves (DSX-1, DSX-3, Fuse Panels, etc.)
  • Run and Lace Power and Ground Cables
  • Run and Lace Coax, ABAM and Fiber Cables
  • Termination of Power Cables, Lugs, and "H" Taps 
  • Termination of Signal Cables, Wire-wrapping, BNC'S, Punch down, Crimping
  • Provide on-site supervision of installation crews
  • Provided leadership and guidance
  • Understand project specifications and code requirements
  • Document project schedule 
  • Manage documents changes order requests
  • Maintain clean & safe work environments
  • Assist in installation(s) 
Labeling of Power, Signal, Shelves, Racks, Superstructure, etc.
Keep track of and minimize capital expenditures
